Jose Altuve Narrowly Dodged a Pitch to the Face Tonight
Tonight, Houston Astros’ standout player, Jose Altuve, had a reason to be grateful for his lightning-fast reactions. Altuve was up to bat against Dane Dunning from the Texas Rangers in the fourth inning when he narrowly avoided a frightening moment – a fastball that came dangerously close to hitting him in the face. Despite being a relatively short player at 5-foot-6, Altuve’s quick reflexes allowed him to quickly drop to the ground, preventing what could have been a painful impact with the baseball.

Altuve managed to draw a walk while the Astros had players on all bases. Following that, Yordan Alvarez hit a sacrifice fly off the pitcher Coby Bradford, giving Houston a 4-3 lead. Then, Jose Abreu hit a three-run home run, putting the Astros ahead 7-3 in a game they were winning 3-0 initially jose.
If Houston can maintain this lead, they will even the best-of-7 American League Championship Series at 2-2. This is an impressive accomplishment since they lost the first two games at their home stadium.
The Astros are aiming to return to the World Series to defend their championship, while the Rangers are trying to reach the Fall Classic for the first time in 12 years.
