Report: Steelers Actively Exploring Trade Options for Seasoned Defensive Back
The Pittsburgh Steelers seem ready to part ways with an experienced defensive player, specifically their veteran cornerback Desmond King. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that the Steelers have informed King of their intention to release him if they can’t find a trade partner. King, who is aware of this plan, has played in 98 career games, with 53 starts, making him a valuable nickel cornerback option.

Desmond King, who is 28 years old and a former Pro Bowler, had spent the previous two seasons with the Houston Texans before being released in late August. After that, he signed a one-year contract with the Steelers. In the current season, King has appeared in three games with the Steelers.
Throughout his NFL career, King has played for various teams, including the Los Angeles Chargers, Tennessee Titans, Texans, and Steelers. He has accumulated impressive stats, including 424 tackles, nine interceptions, 8.5 sacks, five fumble recoveries, and four forced fumbles.
It remains to be seen whether the Steelers will release King or manage to trade him in the upcoming days.
