Get ready, Fortnite fans! There’s a new skin called the Galaxy Crossfade Outfit that you can get for free in the game. Epic Games made the big announcement on July 24, 2023, through their blog. To earn this awesome outfit, you’ll need to take part in the Galaxy Cup event on July 29 and 30, 2023. If you play on Android devices, join in on July 29, but if you’re on any supported platform, you can participate on July 30.

But that’s not all! Along with the Galaxy Crossfade Outfit, you also have a chance to get other cool cosmetics like the Crossfade’s Equalizer Back Bling, Spinback Slicer Pickaxe, BPM Breakdown Emote, and Crossfade’s Galaxy Wrap, all for free in Fortnite Chapter 4.

Fortnite Galaxy Crossfade skin: How to obtain for free

To get your hands on these rewards, you’ll need to do your best in the competition. The players who rank the highest or score the most points each day during the Galaxy Cup will be awarded the complete Hazy Dreambeats Set. The number of players who will receive the rewards varies depending on their region:

Middle East and Oceania (ME/OCE): Top 250 players
Asia and Brazil (ASIA/BR): Top 500 players
North America (NA): Top 1,500 players
Europe (EU): Top 2,000 players

Even if you don’t make it to the top rankings, there’s still a chance to earn the House Cat Spray by scoring at least eight points during the Galaxy Cup. It might not be the most valuable reward, but hey, it’s better than nothing! And here’s a tip to help you score more points: There are special objectives called Mid-Match objectives. If you manage to open a Vault or rift-in a POI (Point of Interest), you’ll gain three additional points, which can be crucial in reaching the 10-point threshold for many players.

Don’t worry if you can’t participate in the Galaxy Cup or if you don’t get enough points to earn the Galaxy Crossfade Outfit. After the tournament ends, Epic Games will add these cosmetics to the Fortnite Item Shop. It might take a week or two, but they’ll be available for purchase soon enough.

Keep in mind that the whole Hazy Dreambeats Set is estimated to cost around 1,800 to 2,100 V-Bucks, taking into account any discounts that might apply. But here’s some good news: If you manage to earn parts of the Hazy Dreambeats Set during the competition, you’ll get a heavier discount when you buy it.
